- The device is a low-current relay activated by an alternating signal.
- The relay that is the output of the circuit turns on when a sound frequency signal greater than 7Vpp arrives at the input, and turns off when the signal is missing or stops.
- For a door phone with digital addressing, it must be connected to the listener or auxiliary signal output.
- The circuit is only suitable for turning on and off a small current (0.5A/48VAC/VDC).
- In noisy environments or in the case of a hearing-impaired user, the device can be used to operate a light signaling circuit or other signaling device with the call signal of the intercom.
- The circuit is not suitable for connecting mains voltage (230VAC).
